With nearly 40 years of experience in urological surgery, he has successfully developed renal and multi-organ preservation solutions and facilitated the commercialization of these innovations, filling a significant gap in China's medical research landscape. He has conducted extensive prospective and landmark studies on rejection reactions in kidney transplant recipients, pathological injury, as well as sex hormones, sexual function, and fertility before and after kidney transplantation. Over the past decade or so, he has dedicated himself to minimally invasive treatment of renal cell carcinoma and to translational research on the molecular and genetic mechanisms underlying infiltrative metastasis. His honors include being recognized as a National Outstanding Party Member, a National Advanced Individual in the Fight Against the COVID-19 Pandemic, one of the Most Outstanding Science and Technology Workers of Shanghai Municipality, an Advanced Worker of Shanghai Municipality, and a "Bethune Model Physician." As the primary contributor, he received one First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress awarded by the Ministry of Education of China; two Second Prizes for Scientific and Technological Progress from the Shanghai Municipal Government; and three Second Prizes for Medical Science and Technology from the Shanghai Municipal Government. As the sixth contributor, he was awarded one Second Prize for National Scientific and Technological Progress.
