Wu Xiaohua

Specialized in the surgical, chemotherapeutic, and targeted biological therapies for gynecological malignancies (including ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, and vulvovaginal cancer). Pioneered the transabdominal radical hysterectomy (ART) in China, preserving patients' fertility while introducing innovative surgical techniques; her "Fudan Standard" has been cited and recommended in the 2015 NCCN Guidelines to date. Established a "Comprehensive Management Model for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Ovarian Cancer," achieving R0 resection rates and 5-year overall survival rates for advanced ovarian cancer that meet internationally advanced standards.

Has led more than 40 national and provincial/ministerial-level scientific research grants; served as principal investigator (PI) for over 80 international or domestic multicenter clinical trials, covering areas such as PARP inhibitors, vascular targeting, cancer immunotherapy, and tumor molecular biomarkers. Led the compilation of the Chinese edition of the NCCN Gynecologic Oncology Guidelines and the CACA Chinese Integrated Diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines for Gynecologic Oncology. Has published over 200 SCI-indexed papers, with major research findings published in international academic journals including The Lancet, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Nature Medicine, Lancet Oncology, and Annals of Oncology. Acted as editor-in-chief or primary translator for two monographs—Cervical Cancer Conservation Surgery and Practical Gynecologic Oncology—and holds 12 invention patents. As the first contributor, has been awarded the First Prize of the China Anti-Cancer Association Science and Technology Award twice, the Third Prize of the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award, the First Prize and Second Prize of the Shanghai Anti-Cancer Science and Technology Award, and the Third Prize of the Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Award.

Honored with titles including Shanghai Municipal Leading Talent, Shanghai Municipal Outstanding Academic Discipline Leader, and Fudan University's "Top Ten Medical Professionals," as well as the Shanghai Municipal Gold Award for Outstanding Invention.
