Huang Yao

He spent 17 years working at Shanghai East Hepatobiliary Surgery Hospital, where he held various positions including Attending Physician in Liver Surgery, Head of the Biologic Therapy Department (Oncology) Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment Team, Head of the Biliary Tract Surgery Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment Team, and Head of the Organ Transplantation Department Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment Team as well as its Operational Lead. He also served as Assistant Director of the Department of Surgery and Field Surgery at Shanghai East Hepatobiliary Surgery Hospital and as Head of the Teaching Supervision Group; he was recognized as a Grade A Instructor by the Naval Medical University.

Holds national and military accreditation for independent liver transplantation surgery, enabling the performance of adult, pediatric, and various living-donor liver transplantation procedures independently; has independently performed or participated in over 200 organ transplantation surgeries. Proficient in conventional surgical and interventional techniques for hepatobiliary and pancreatic tumors; over the course of a 17-year career, has completed or participated in more than 2,000 Level III–IV surgical procedures.

Currently serves as a member of the Biomodulation Committee of the Chinese Research Hospital Association, a member of the Rapid Recovery Surgery Committee of the Chinese Rehabilitation Medicine Association, a youth committee member of the Biliary Tract Malignant Tumors Special Committee of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, and a member of the Biliary Tract Malignant Tumors Special Committee of the Shanghai Anti-Cancer Association. Has led a total of six research projects at or above the provincial/ministerial level; has published 16 papers as the first author, including 6 papers indexed in SCI.
