Chen Yuelai

Professor, MD, Chief Physician, Doctoral Supervisor, Postdoctoral Supervisor. President of Longhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a renowned TCM doctor in Shanghai, and a leading talent in Shanghai. He also serves as Vice Chairman of the Pelvic Floor Dysfunction Committee of the China Association of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Vice Chairman of the Evidence-Based Medicine Committee of the China Association of Integrative Medicine, Vice Chairman of the Bloodletting and Cupping Committee of the China Association of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Vice Chairman of the Committee for the Promotion of Appropriate Technologies at the Grassroots Level of the China Association of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, and Chairman of the Non-Drug Therapy Committee of the Shanghai Association of Integrative Medicine.

He has undertaken 4 National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, 8 projects from the Ministry of Science and Technology, and over 20 provincial, ministerial, and municipal projects. He has published over 150 academic papers, including 16 SCI-indexed papers, and holds 20 patents. He has established 3 national-level diagnostic and treatment technologies of the Ministry of Health and 3 Shanghai municipal-level diagnostic and treatment promotion technologies. As the first author, he has received 6 science and technology achievement awards, completed 12 scientific and technological achievements, and published 6 monographs.

Primarily engaged in clinical and mechanistic research on acupuncture treatment for pelvic floor disorders and mental disorders. Specializes in acupuncture treatment of urogenital, neurological, allergic, and endocrine disorders.
