Lin Jiang

Doctor of Medicine, Chief Physician, Doctoral Supervisor.Director of the Department of Gastroenterology at Longhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He participated in the third batch of national renowned veteran TCM doctors' inheritance training program, studying under Professor Cai Gan, a nationally renowned TCM expert in gastroenterology. He was selected for the first batch of Shanghai's leading TCM talent training program. In 2001, he received a World Health Organization scholarship and served as a visiting scholar at the Molecular Immunomodulation Laboratory of the National Cancer Institute in the United States. In 2008, he served as a visiting professor at the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chang Gung University, Taiwan. Currently, he serves as the Chairman of the Gastroenterology Branch of the Shanghai Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a Standing Committee Member of the Digestive Diseases Branch of the Shanghai Association of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine, a Member of the Digestive Diseases Branch of the Shanghai Medical Association, a Member of the Gastroenterology Branch of the China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a Standing Director of the Digestive Diseases Branch of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, the Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Committee of the China Digestive Psychosomatic Alliance, a Standing Committee Member of the Chinese Expert Committee on Capsule Endoscopy and Enteropathy, the Vice President of the Organizing Committee of the Yangtze River Delta Digestive Specialty Medical Consortium, and a member of the Expert Group of the Research and Development Committee on the Integration of Traditional and Western Medicine of the China Medical Education Association, among other positions.

In scientific research, he has presided over or participated in nearly 20 projects at various levels, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission, the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. He has published over 90 papers in core journals and SCI journals, and has won the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award (Third Prize) twice, the Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Progress Award (First Prize) once, the Chinese Traditional Medicine Science and Technology Progress Award (Second Prize) twice, and the Ministry of Education Outstanding Scientific Research Achievement Award (Second Prize) once. He has obtained one invention patent and two computer software copyrights. While engaged in clinical research, he also teaches and trains postgraduate students in Traditional Chinese Medicine Internal Medicine, having supervised 7 doctoral students and 15 master's students. Many of them have been recognized as outstanding graduates and outstanding resident physicians in Shanghai, and he himself has been repeatedly recognized as an outstanding postgraduate supervisor at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has authored one book as chief editor and participated as associate editor or editorial board member in the compilation of four nationally planned textbooks published by People's Medical Publishing House.

In clinical practice, he is skilled in using traditional Chinese medicine to treat digestive system diseases, especially in the treatment of precancerous lesions of the stomach, functional gastrointestinal disorders, and inflammatory bowel disease, in which he has accumulated rich experience.
