Liu Jun

Specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of facial paralysis, insomnia, anxiety and depression, gastrointestinal diseases, dysmenorrhea, and myopia, Dr. [Name] has accumulated rich clinical experience through years of clinical acupuncture practice. She emphasizes the integration of modern medical diagnosis and treatment with traditional Chinese medicine's theories of disease differentiation and syndrome differentiation, employing multi-target and multi-method acupuncture (especially electroacupuncture and auricular acupuncture) to maximize patient benefit. She has worked in the Acupuncture Department of Guang'anmen Hospital, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences since 1993, engaging in clinical, research, and teaching work. She has been invited to lecture and conduct medical work in Germany, Austria, Malaysia, and other countries. She has furthered his studies in psychiatry and psychotherapy at Peking University Sixth Hospital, and in neurology and complex neurological diseases at Peking University Third Hospital. She completed postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, collaborating on research into the mechanisms of acupuncture treatment for depression and anxiety using functional MRI (fMRI), and participating in a research project funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

She has published over ten SCI papers and dozens of Chinese papers, among which "Electroacupuncture Treatment of 81 Cases of Post-Stroke Anxiety Disorder" won the second prize for outstanding papers at the 14th Asian Psychosomatic Medicine Congress.She has presided over or participated in more than ten research projects at various levels, including five National Natural Science Foundation of China projects and Beijing Natural Science Foundation projects. She has received the second prize of Science and Technology Award from the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and two second prizes of Science and Technology Award from the China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
