Hu Dongpeng

Specializes in diabetes and its various acute and chronic complications, thyroid diseases, obesity, and other miscellaneous internal medicine diseases in traditional Chinese medicine.

Graduated from the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, in 1993, majoring in Clinical Traditional Chinese Medicine, and has worked at Guang'anmen Hospital ever since. He studied under Lin Lan, a renowned "National Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine," and Professors Liu Zhiming and Xue Boshou, both "National Masters of Traditional Chinese Medicine." He is a successor of the fourth batch of national veteran TCM experts' academic experience. He was one of the first "Top Ten Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Physicians" at Guang'anmen Hospital and a member of the second batch of "Famous Young and Middle-aged TCM Doctors" at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. Currently, he serves as the Vice Chairman of the Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases Branch of the Laboratory Medicine Professional Committee and a member of the Diabetes Professional Committee of the Beijing Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has participated in national key research projects during the Ninth, Tenth, and Eleventh Five-Year Plans, and has presided over four projects. He currently has two National Natural Science Foundation of China projects under his leadership. He has published 15 papers in national core journals and received one second-class award for scientific and technological progress from the China Association of Integrative Medicine.
